The Emerging Coastal Network

The purpose of the Pacific Coast Watershed Partnership is to create a network of intact, naturally functioning coastal watersheds from the Canadian border to the Californian border. Working through public-private partnerships in watersheds throughout coastal Oregon and Washington, we believe we can show how watershed function can be restored and protected, while stimulating local economies. The map at right represents the current ownership landscape of this region. The patchwork of ownership illustrates the importance of partnership in order to facilitate PCWP's vision of an emerging coastal network of healthy ecosystems that support sustainable economies. PCWP hopes the other maps, data, and basin-specific information available on this website will be useful to local and regional partners in their implementation, monitoring, analyses, outreach and education projects.
